The ever popular cappuccino; one of the most famous espresso drinks!
What is a cappuccino? A cappuccino is a coffee drink with equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam.
Cappuccinos are incredibly easy to make at home with just a few tools. You'll need:
- To make the espresso: An espresso machine, manual espresso maker, or Aeropress.
- To steam and froth the milk: A handheld frother, French press, or whisk.
That's it so let's get started!
2 oz espresso (2 shots)
4 oz whole, fresh milk (1/2 cup)
Prepare the Espresso
Prepare the espresso and pour into a large mug, like a latte mug.
Steam and Froth the Milk
Use an espresso machine or heat the milk on the stove to 150 F. Be careful not to simmer the milk.
Use a handheld frother, French press, or whisk to froth the milk. For a cappuccino you will want a good amount of froth.
Serve and Enjoy!
Pour the steamed milk and froth into the center of the espresso. Enjoy immediately!
Fresh, whole milk works best. Older milk or other kinds of milk will not froth as well as fresh, whole milk will.
